Convert Site to ASP .NET
Status: Ongoing...
Engagement Type: Time and Materials

Our client, a DFW-based provider of I.T. services to small businesses, needed a simple and small HTML web site retrofit to support more advanced features that are not native to HTML. In anticipation for the development and integration of these features, Genfiniti eWerX converted the site to ASP .NET.

Homebuilding Subcontractor ERP
Status: Ongoing...
Engagement Type: Joint Venture

Genfiniti eWerX joined PTI in a joint-venture, Complete Software of Texas (CSOT), to create and market an order processing ERP specifically designed for the homebuilding subcontractor industry. The ERP, named SubComplete, is deployed on-site as a suite of applications that include a Windows desktop application (SubComplete Desktop), a centralized SQL Server 2005 database and a Windows Service (SubComplete Enterprise Server) that also runs on a centralized server.

Also available is a plug-in module for SubComplete Enterprise Server that integrates SubComplete with Hyphen Solutions’ SupplyPro Connect service via web services.

The SubComplete suite is currently in development.

Global Configuration Subsystem for SaaS Architecure
Status: Successfully Completed
Engagement Type: Time and Materials

Our client, a Durham, North Carolina company specializing in maintaining online business applications for the direct marketing industry, was suffering from cost overruns associated with their architecture and deployment model. As each new customer signed-up for service, they would make a copy of the code base and database, alter it for any specializations, and deploy it to a server of its own. This created a cost and maintenance nightmare in that every new customer gained meant that these steps, and the time and costs associated with them, had to be repeated, robbing them of any economies of scale.

Genfiniti eWerX helped them to architect a next-generation system that more closely followed a true Software As A Service (Saas) model, with the goal being the implementation of a multi-tenant, single-instance design. Over a three month period, we worked with their technical leaders to analyze, architect and structure a project for implementing this improved SaaS model. When the time for implementation came, Genfiniti eWerX was retained to help develop the Configuration Subsystem of the architecture, using SQL Server 2005 and Visual Basic .NET.

Call Center Software Enhancements
Status: Successfully Completed
Engagement Type: Time and Materials

Our client, a Kansas-based company marketing financial products to seniors, runs a call-center operation using Amcat as the core software system. The Amcat system’s call data is maintained in a series of SQL Server databases. The client had developed an ASP.NET application to access these databases, as well as interact with the Amcat system itself, and was looking to implement several improvements and additions.

Genfiniti eWerX provided .NET development services for implementing and successfully deploying these changes, bringing more value through increased operational efficiency to their call center operation.
